I found your article extremely informative. I was recently diagnosed with BHS. I am a 57y/o female.
I had chest pain on Thursday, went to an MD on Friday. The EKG changes presented as a major MI. The ED docs talked about stents and bypass surgery. On the cath table, the dx was made as soon as they noted all the coronary arteries were clear. My EF on the table was 35-40%. That was July 3rd, 2010.

Work stress [ED charge nurse] is fairly normal, but I had a shoulder injury that went on for 5 months. It was a workman's comp issue [Volunteer firefighter]but it was the worst frustration and feeling of helplessness because on one would take financial responsiblity. I would sit and cry, feeling so frustrated. I believe that was the preciptating factor.
